Philip is passionate about singing from both the vocal and presentation perspective and he is  keen to pass on the knowledge and experience gained in a career spanning 40 years.  As Artistic Director of London Festival Opera he has created 'Opera Magic' - a children's introduction to the magical world of opera.

 

He studied singing and piano at the Royal Academy of Music in London before embarking on a professional career as a soloist with companies including Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, amongst others.  

 

His experience as a professional baritone soloist combined with over 30 years as the Artistic Director of London Festival Opera & Opera Interludes, puts me in a unique position as  teacher and coach for professional and amateur singers alike.  I now combine Life Coaching with singing technique and offer a consultation lesson.  I am currently teaching online.

His play with opera 'I lived for Art' was premiered at the Celebrate Voice Festival in Salisbury in 2021 and plans for 2023 include further presentations in London.
